- Continuation of community service activities held for Chuseok/Lunar New Year since 2019

Shinsegae Duty Free distributed boxes filled with daily necessities to community members in need ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

Since 2019, it has provided gifts on Korea’s two biggest holidays to underprivileged individuals, such as seniors who live alone and grandparent-grandchild households.

The donation distribution ceremony, held on September 7 at the Busan Social Welfare Center, was attended by Han Se-kyung, head of Shinsegae Duty Free Busan, and Director Ku Chun-hee of Rosa Busan.

This year, Shinsegae Duty Free prepared boxes filled with rice, fruit, instant noodles, and health supplements for 200 underprivileged households (150 seniors who use a single senior meal service and 50 grandparent-grandchild households) in Busan’s Suyeong-gu district.

In addition to daily necessities and monetary donations, Shinsegae Duty Free regularly works with Rosa Busan on community service activities, including serving lunch to local seniors, providing boxed meals, and donating toys and books to libraries.

Han said, "We engage in activities for our community every year to make sure that everyone can have a happy Chuseok. Moving forward, we will be providing diverse services that can be of substantive help to those who are most in need."
